COOLED SEMEN CONTRACT
I hereby agree on this
_____day of _________20 __, to breed the mare________ __ Reg #
_____________ and only this mare using cooled semen. The stallion fee for
cooled semen for the stallion PC Frenchman Reg# 380227 is
$______ which includes a nonrefundable booking fee of $150. All remaining
fees must be paid prior to shipment. Mares receiving shipped semen must have
a clean uterine culture within 30 days prior to first breeding. This must be
on file with Bucks
&
Barrels Ranch. Insemination of mare must be done by a licensed
veterinarian. Stallions are collected on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. There will be a limit of 3 shipments per breeding season per mare.
There will be a charge of $250 for any shipments excluding the first
shipment. A deposit in the amount of $250.00 is required for the Equitainer
and the deposit will be returned if Equitainer is received within 10 days
from the date of shipment. The return of the Equitainer is mare owner's
expense and will be billed accordingly. Shipment will be made to a location
at which the semen must be picked up on the day of arrival. Mare owner or
attending veterinarian must notify Bucks
&
Barrels Ranch the first
day of mare's heat cycle. Failure to do so may result in the refusal to ship
semen. A request for semen must be made at least 24 hours prior to shipping
time. Cancellation must be made by 8:00a.m.on the shipping day. A live foal
guarantee will apply to those mares that are certified by an attending
veterinarian to have conceived and carried a pregnancy for 60 or more days
from insemination. Return breeding under the live foal agreement will be
limited to one with the option of substitution of an approved mare. There
will be no shipped semen for rebreeds; mare must be brought to Bucks &
Barrels Ranch. A live foal is described as a foal which stands and nurses
alone. If the foal is born dead, there are return privileges if notified
within 7 days by written statement by a licensed veterinarian confirming
death. In the event the mare or the stallions become unfit to breed, this
contract shall terminate and all money with the exception of the booking fee
shall be returned. Neither Bucks & Barrels Ranch nor any of its employees
shall be liable for damages as a result of damage to the semen or as a
result of a mare failing to settle.
A "Breeders Certificate"
will be issued for the foal conceived by this mating only when all fees have
been paid in full, all paperwork accompanying shipped semen has been signed
and sent back, and when mare has produced a live foal by this mating. This
contract is neither assignable nor transferable. In the event this mare is
sold or otherwise disposed of prior to birth the Live Foal Guarantee will be
void.
When mare and stallion owner both sign
this contract, it will be binding on both parties. Void after 30 days.
